Peltier Rainbos are a later development growing out of the NLR line. Many of the same colors are used but the main difference is in the ribbon NLR ribbons are laid across the surface of the base where Rainbo ribbons extend into the interior of the base glass. Rainbos come in many varieties and colors. One of the distinguishing characteristics when sorting Rainbos can be the base glass which can be Clear, Opalescent, or Opaque.  Some Rainbos has been given specific names usually popularized by collectors and used to describe a particular color combination.
